Died – May 11, 1981, Miami, Florida

Bob Marley was a Rastafarian icon, a pioneer reggae singer, guitarist, and songwriter. His music was infused with spirituality He was a spokesman for democratic social reforms, and supported the legalization of marijuana. Bob Marley ranks as one of the best selling music artists of all time. He died of melanoma cancer at the age of 36.
